Jan-Erik Ritzman is what you’d call an international celebrity in the glass world. His career began at Kosta Glassworks in 1957. Only seven years later in 1964, he became the youngest master ever in the art glass workshop at Kosta Boda.
Since the early 1970s, he has travelled around the world from China to Swaziland, teaching and consulting in glassblowing. Jan-Erik Ritzman was also the first European master to demonstrate glassblowing in the USA.
Today he’s expanding his technical knowledge and Scandinavian aesthetic together with his colleague Sven-Åke Carlsson in their own blowing room in Transjö.
