Sven-Åke Carlsson
Sven Åke Carlsson began working at Kosta Glassworks in 1972. Four years later, with another master, Jan-Erik Ritzman, he started Transjö Blowing Room, which is a “glass laboratory” where they develop their own glass art.
Sven-Åke Carlsson’s technical know-how combined with a restrained and elegant Scandinavian aesthetic has made him a popular teacher of glassblowing from Japan to the USA. His work can also be found in museums and galleries all over the world.
