What’s on in the Kingdom of Crystal
A number of joint events are organised throughout the year in the Kingdom of Crystal. But glassworks and blowing rooms also hold regular public demonstrations of glassblowing. During summer 2020, the number of spectators will be limited, so keep an eye on the glassworks’ and blowing rooms’ own websites.
Glasriket Glöder autumn 2020
The flaming glass furnaces are a great contrast to the surrounding obscurity and the magic of the craft is enhanced as darkness descends. What better way than to step into the heat of the cabin and experience Glasriket Glöder?
During the autumn happening, mills and cabins invite you to glowing ice cream shows, exhibitions and activities for young and old. Among other things, the country’s best glassblowers will be crowned in a competition where the largest barrel and the longest cylinder will be blown in the Glasriket Open, or the Swedish Championships in glassblowing.
During Glasriket Glöder, the winter collections from cabins and mills are also shown. A perfect opportunity to buy unique Christmas gifts!
