Persson & Persson

Just outside Åseda is Ösjöbol’s former village shop. The place oozes nostalgia, but close by you can find a modern blowing room with a small glass oven and an attractive gallery for art glass. The Persson & Persson Glassworks is run by Elin and Morgan. Here they’re preoccupied with reuse.

Utility glass like bottles and jars is transformed into beautiful, practical objects such as drinking glasses, carafes and bowls. This saves energy because the glass doesn’t have to be completely melted down again. The atmosphere is calm and rural, while the sigh of the glass oven is a constant reminder of where you are. The former village shop is now a shop and café. Morgan Persson blows his art glass in the studios of friends and colleagues in the Kingdom of Crystal.
